Abigail J.R. McLaughlin
Abigail J.R. McLaughlin is an associate with Wright Kim Douglas, ALC. Ms. McLaughlin received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, with a minor in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, she attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law and received her juris doctorate in 2016.
As a law student, she was Managing Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and received two American Jurisprudence Awards. She also was a member of the nationally recognized Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court team and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Prior to joining WKD, Ms. McLaughlin clerked at the Office of the Texas Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission, where she focused on drafting motions in various class action lawsuits.
Ms. McLaughlin is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and its Trust & Estates Section. Her practice has been dedicated to trusts and estates since 2017. She works with both professional fiduciaries and private clients regarding a range of trust, estate, and conservatorship administration, estate planning, and litigation matters.
Ms. McLaughlin is passionate about helping families navigate the stress of trust and estate administration while dealing with the heightened emotions that inevitably come with the passing of a loved one. She is dedicated to making the post-death process as stress free as possible.
In her free time, Ms. McLaughlin enjoys seeing movies with her husband and working on difficult jigsaw puzzles. Beyond her legal career, Ms. McLaughlin also has niche knowledge about comic books and Star Wars.
